Planks a Lot

I kept my nails simple this week but i wanted to show them anyway. Here's Planks a Lot, which is one of the colors for OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean collection.

OPI also came out with more colors in their Shatter Collections so stay tuned for my Shatter vs. Crackle Series in the coming weeks.

Pink & Sparkles

Hi Guys! I was busy studying for finals so I wasn't able to post a blog last week but here's my nail design for this week. I hope you guys like it.

For This design, I used OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama from the new Pirates of the Caribbean Collection and LA Ink's Crystal Glitter.

Here's how I did it:
1. Apply two coats of Sparrow me the Drama and let it completely dry
2. Apply the flower nail art as desired.
3. Brush the tip with the Crystal Glitter nail polish (This has a really thin brush). Let it dry.
4.  Finish off your nails using your favorite top coat.

*Note: You could use an old liquid liner brush if you don't have any nail art brush or pen. Just clean your old liquid liner brush well. DO NOT use it again on your eyes!!!

Newspaper Nails

Hello Friends! Here is my very first nail blog entry. It's a very easy design to make. Here's how I did mine...
YOU WILL NEED:
  • Light- Colored Nail Polish
  • a small glass or bowl
  • Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka
  • Cut up Strips of Newspaper  Big Enough to Cover Each Nail
  • Clear Top Coat Polish
  1. Pick any light nail polish color (so the newspaper print would show) and let it dry. I used OPI's "Skull and Glossbones" from the new Pirates of the Caribbean Collection.
  2. Once the nail polish has dried, take some rubbing alcohol and pour some in a glass. You will enough to dip your nails. Vodka would work too; that's what I used.
  3. Dip your completely dried nail into the alcohol. Make sure the entire nail is wet.
  4. Place and press a strip of newspaper on your nail and hold firmly for about 30 seconds. DO NOT MOVE YOUR FINGERS!
  5. Remove the strip after 30 seconds and repeat the process on your other nails.
    • Do not re-dip the nails that already have the newspaper prints.
  6. Polish your nail with a clear top coat. DON'T FORGET THIS STEP or the newspaper print will smear off.
  7. Dry the Top Coat and VOILA! You're Done :-)
